Training, Perspective, and Approach
Hi, I’m Shane Brill.
I help people reconnect with their bodies and build lasting wellness — using food, insight, and education as powerful tools for change.
My approach blends ancestral nutrition, functional lab testing, and nature-based principles to help you understand your symptoms, nourish your body, and create sustainable, meaningful shifts in your health.
Whether you're navigating digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, chronic fatigue, or a diagnosis that doesn't tell the full story — you're not alone. Healing is possible. And it starts with learning to listen to what your body is trying to say.
Through the Chestertown Wellness Collective, I collaborate with a team of holistic practitioners to support community well-being through education, events, and integrated care.
my Story
Like many of my clients, I came to nutritional therapy out of necessity.
For years, I struggled with fatigue and a mild anemia that didn’t respond effectively to conventional approaches. This experience prompted me to delve deeper into my health, uncovering foundational issues that affected my sleep and energy levels. Through the journey of improving my well-being, I became inspired to share my passion for supporting vitality with others.
In one-on-one consultations and community education, I now help individuals across all stages of life rediscover their energy, rebuild resilience, and reclaim their health with clarity and confidence.
My Approach
I combine formal training from the Nutritional Therapy Association and the Institute of Restorative Health with a deep respect for ecological connection. Each client receives highly personalized support that reflects:
Root-Cause Exploration: Integrating your personal experiences with clinical tools to uncover underlying issues reflected in your symptoms.
Bio-Individuality: Tailoring nutritional education and lifestyle guidance to align with your unique physiology.
Realistic Lifestyle Shifts: Implementing changes that match your capacity for long-term success.
Ongoing Education: Empowering self-advocacy through continuous learning to take charge of your health journey.
I’m also a certified instructor of the RESTART® program, and regularly lead community-based workshops on nutrition, foraging, and reconnecting with the land.
Beyond Nutrition
I live in a quiet sanctuary in Chestertown, Maryland, surrounded by a landscape of edible gardens featuring fruit trees, berry bushes, and medicinal herbs. This space serves as a living classroom where I explore seasonal eating, soil health, and the healing power of plants.
My work is shaped by permaculture principles, ancestral knowledge, and a belief that true healing is possible when we realign with natural systems.
In the news

Eating the foods that truly nourish us doesn’t just restore our health — it restores the land that makes that nourishment possible.
Through studying the links between environment and health, I’ve learned to source, grow, and create meals that truly nourish — made from scratch and from the soil up.
