Perennial Nutritional Therapy offers structured, education-based nutrition support through a tiered system of care designed to meet you at different levels of depth.
Getting Started
The initial intake is a 90-minute Deep-Dive Consultation where we take the time to explore your health history, symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental exposures in depth.
For many clients, this process provides a clearer framework for understanding their health and making informed decisions moving forward.
Gradual, Meaningful Progress
Progress is typically experienced through improved clarity, pattern recognition, and more consistent daily decision-making as recommendations are implemented over time.
A Collaborative Process
You’ll receive a detailed and educational visit summary after each session, including practical action steps and insights you can easily reference or share with other healthcare providers.
Some clients choose occasional follow-up support as needed. Others pursue longer-term structured care when appropriate.
A Food-First Approach
Nutrition and lifestyle form the foundation of all recommendations. Functional testing and supplementation are used selectively to support individualized understanding when appropriate.
Functional lab fees are not covered by insurance, and supplements are intended to be short-term tools rather than permanent dependencies.
Building Resilience
Our work together is grounded in gentle lifestyle and mindset shifts that create lasting change over time. Small, consistent changes often have a ripple effect — supporting not only your own well-being, but the health of your family and environment as well.

Additional educational tools may be incorporated based on individual goals, symptom patterns, and clinical relevance.

Frequently Asked Questions
A few things clients often ask before getting started…
-
At this time, all appointments are held in person in Chestertown, Maryland. Maryland regulations currently prevent non-licensed practitioners from offering telehealth services.
-
Yes. I provide comprehensive visit summaries that many clients choose to share with their primary care providers and specialists to support more coordinated care.
My role is educational and supportive in nature. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and I will always refer clients to licensed healthcare professionals when concerns fall outside my scope of practice.
Many clients find that our work together helps them feel more informed, organized, and confident when communicating with their healthcare team.
-
Sometimes. While my approach is rooted in nutrition and lifestyle foundations, targeted short-term supplementation can occasionally help support digestion, metabolism, hormones, or the body’s natural detoxification pathways.
When supplements are recommended, I carefully review potential interactions and contraindications with medications and existing health conditions.
-
You’re welcome to bring any recent lab work to your sessions. I can review labs from an educational and nutritional perspective to help identify patterns and opportunities for support.
-
No. Nutritional therapy services are not covered by insurance.
One advantage of this model is that it allows for longer, more personalized appointments without the limitations often associated with diagnosis-driven care. This gives us the space to explore nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental factors in greater depth.
-
Yes. In addition to standard serum testing commonly used in conventional healthcare, I also work with select salivary and urine-based assessments used in the functional health space.
I do not believe in unnecessary testing and only recommend labs when the results are likely to provide meaningful insight that helps guide your care.
-
My approach is collaborative, educational, and individualized. Sessions are designed to help you better understand your body, recognize patterns, and build sustainable strategies without shame, overwhelm, or pressure for perfection.
The goal is not rigid protocols, but practical support that fits your real life.
-
No. Many clients come to me feeling stuck with unresolved symptoms, unclear answers, or a sense that something still feels “off” despite normal lab work.
Our work focuses on supporting overall function, identifying patterns, and building foundations that help you feel more resilient and informed.
-
Usually not. Most recommendations are gradual, practical, and tailored to your individual needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
The focus is on building supportive habits over time rather than striving for perfection.
-
No. We begin with nutrition and lifestyle foundations first. Labs and supplements are only considered when they are likely to provide meaningful insight or support.
